Full Stack Web Development Workshop

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the KVGCE Open Source Community (KVGCEOSC), organized a hands-on Workshop on Full Stack Web Development to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation of web technologies. The primary objective of the event was to equip students with the skills required to design, develop, and deploy dynamic and responsive web applications using modern tools and frameworks. Full Stack Development is one of the most in-demand domains in the software industry today, and this workshop provided students an opportunity to explore both frontend and backend technologies under expert guidance.

Objectives of the Workshop

The key objectives of the session were to:

  • Provide an overview of frontend and backend web technologies and their integration.
  • Introduce participants to the workflow of full stack development from project setup to deployment.
  • Demonstrate the use of industry-standard tools such as VS Code, Node.js, and MySQL.
  • Enhance problem-solving and coding proficiency through interactive hands-on sessions.
  • Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and peer learning within the student community.
  • Motivate students to explore open-source technologies and contribute to real-world projects.

Inauguration

The session began with a formal inauguration in the presence of distinguished faculty members. The dignitaries present included: Dr. Ujwal U. J. (Former HOD, Department of CSE), Dr. Balapradeep K. N. (HOD, Department of CSE), Prof. Venkatesh U. C. (Faculty Mentor, KVGCEOSC), Prof. Santosh Nair (Resource Person), and Prof. Harshith (Faculty, CSE). Dr. Ujwal U. J. delivered an inspiring address highlighting the importance of continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies. Dr. Balapradeep K. N. appreciated the Open Source Community’s initiative for nurturing innovation.
